Homecoming Report & Lunch

 Tyson gave his homecoming report on Sunday February 14th. After his report we had a luncheon all about cheese for Wisconsin! 

Menu: Cheese sandwiches, mac & cheese, cheese nachos, fancy cheeses and spreads, Wisconsin cheese soup, broccoli cheese soup and Sprecher (from Wisconsin) rootbeer floats for dessert!

Returning Home

Elder Ricks left Wisconsin in the morning of February 11, 2021. He arrived at the Idaho Falls airport at 5:15pm with his good friend Elder Jace Hansen. After our reunion at the airport we went to the office so they could teach us one more lesson as full time missionaries. What a great day!!

My mission- Week 101

My friend, Andrea was able to be baptized this last weekend!! It was so special. She asked me to baptize her and we went to go fill up the font super early so there would be enough water! We went in for the meeting and then came to the font to do the baptism and when we opened the curtains it barely went up to the lower part of my knee! So we tried kneeling down, and it was draining super fast and we tried that 2 times. They both didn't work, so we had her sit down so that she would just lay flat to be fully immersed and it worked! She came up out of the water and said that the time when she was fully immersed was when she felt the Spirit and when she knew it was right. It is only by the power of God we can have those feelings as we act under His name by His authority in His way! This is the way, and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God and I'm grateful to be apart of it! 

I love Jesus Christ, I know that He is my Savior and because of Him, all things are possible. We apply the Atonement of Christ by doing the small and simple things in our lives to align our will with God's. I will be forever grateful for the experiences and time that I have had and will yet have to come to a knowledge of my Redeemer!

417- Week 100

 Hola!!!! Being able to speak and teach in 2 different languages is way cool because we get to help even more people! So this week I was lucky enough to meet a guy who speaks both as well and we met him speaking English but when we taught we taught in Spanish and he was way impressed! He loved the Book of Mormon!

This last week we had a meeting with a ton of all of my really good mission friends and that was the last time I'll see all of them until after the mission! Pretty crazy. I sure have met some incredible people here! Also, peep the calculator watches!

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and the Book of Mormon helps me to understand that!
